Remember When...Pencil Portraits

Here are a few photos from my day at the Riverside Plaza Car Show and Music Fest.  I was able to show a lot of my artwork today and talk to lots of people.  The winner to my drawing for a free 8 x 10 was Timothy Worthington!  Congratuations!  I will be in touch shortly!

Today I will have another booth at the Riverside Plaza from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  I am very thankful for the opportunities God has blessed me with lately to show my artwork!  

On October 22nd I participated in my first Art Showing/Booth.  It was exciting to have an opportunity to greet and talk to people in person because most of my interaction with people who are interested in my work is online through my website.  In addition, all correspondence is done via e-mail and/or via telephone conversation, so this was truly a treat for me.  The response and feedback I received from people was very encouraging to me! I guess because I often feel a bit self-conscience due to having never had any formal art lessons/education before.  And I wonder if my techniques are right -- or if I'm drawing like those who have had formal training?  But then I'm reminded of the one who gave me the ability to draw in the first place, and I relax. I know that God is the one who blessed me with the ability to draw.   but people genuinely seemed to like my work.  I sold a drawing (a violin I recently drew) and gave out 300-400 business cards.  It was great fun and thank you to all my friends and family who also came out to support me! You guys are awesome!
