Remember When...Pencil Portraits

Hand drawn portraits capturing tender moments in time...

About the Artist...

My name is Connie Seinturier.  I live in Riverside, California with my husband of 27 years and we have three wonderful children.

I was 16 years old when I discovered that God had gifted me with the ability to draw and paint.  Over the years, I have painted numerous oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, as well as a variety of murals for family dwellings and businesses such as orthodontist offices,

x-ray labs, schools, etc.  I have also painted internationally in Cental America while on several mission trips.

Recently, however, I put down my paint brush and picked up a pencil.  As I began to draw, I found that I absolutely loved it and have been unable to put my sketch pad down for any length of time!  In drawing various subjects over the past year, I've discovered that I have a very real passion to draw people in a setting that will bring back wonderful memories that can be cherished for a lifetime....thus the name "Remember When..."

As an example, I share the above photo of myself playing in the downpour of a tropical rain storm on Corn Island while on a Mission trip to Nicaragua.  It was wonderful to play in the rain like a child (with my other grown-up friends) feeling completely uninhibited and getting absolutely drenched.  Someday I plan to draw this photo as a self-portrait because it will always make me feel good to see it and to remember how I felt that day.

Drawing portraits from photos that reveal tender moments in the lives of children, parents, friends, pets, etc. is what I long to share with you.  While a face portrait alone can help us remember a person, I believe that capturing a special moment will bring a smile to your face and heart for years to come.

I hope you will allow me to draw your special memory or a picture of someone you love (perhaps as a gift).  I know that it will be treasured and shared with all who see it.  It's a great way to take a walk down memory lane.

Thank you,

Connie
